Buckeye is an unincorporated community in Pocahontas County, West Virginia, United States. Buckeye is located along U.S. Route 219 3.5 miles (5.6 km) southwest of Marlinton. Buckeye has a post office with ZIP code 24924.[2]

The community takes its name from nearby Buckeye Cove.[3]

Climate

The climate in this area has mild differences between highs and lows, and there is adequate rainfall year round. According to the Köppen Climate Classification system, Buckeye has a marine west coast climate, abbreviated "Cfb" on climate maps.[4]
