Category:Amateur Athletic Union men's basketball players
This category is for men's basketball players in the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) between the years of 1920–21 and 1967–68. During this time, the AAU was considered the top amateur basketball league in the United States. Many National Basketball Association stars opted to play in the AAU to preserve their amateur status in order to be eligible to play in the Olympic Games.
Please note this category is not intended to include AAU alumni from outside of this time period (i.e., present-day notable basketball players do not belong here).
When applicable, players should be placed in the appropriate sub-categories for specific teams and removed from this broader category.
