- Bulgaria
- Greece
- Italy
- Crete (Kriti)
- Romania
- Sicily
- European Turkey (Turkey-in-Europe, East Thrace)
- Yugoslavia – a former country, but still known as a region containing the following:
- The East Aegean Islands, politically part of Greece, are part of the region of Western Asia, rather than the botanical region of Southeastern Europe.
- Native taxa of the lowest rank are included if they occur widely in the region, otherwise they should be included in the flora of one or more of the constituent areas. Higher taxa are included only if endemic.
