Category:Oklahoma articles without listas parameter

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

These articles are maintained by WikiProject Oklahoma and do not include the listas parameter, which is used to sort articles within categories. This function is the same as the tag used within articles. While every article does not need this function applied, it is especially useful for person names and detailed sorting methods. To add a sort key, please add the parameter "listas=X" to the {{WikiProject Oklahoma}} banner, where X is the sort key to be applied. A few rules:

  1. Start the sort key with an uppercase letter - This system is (mostly) not case-insensitive.
  2. Do not include ANY alphabetic characters other than the 26 letters of the English alphabet - No diacritics whatsoever.
  3. Strip most punctuation, especially if it is the first character of an article's name - The only punctuation that should be used is a comma to separate a person's surname and given name. This is the case even when the name order is the same as the article name, such as "Chan, Wai Ho" being the sort key for Chan Wai Ho.

If these guidelines are followed, articles will be sorted strictly into 36 groups: 26 letters and 10 numbers. Also, for any pages outside of the main article space (images, categories, templates, etc.), the sort key should begin with the name space title. Thus, for "Image:Test.png", the sort key would start with "Image", or "Image:" if additional characters will be used in the sort key. This will better group these non-article pages together for easier maintenance.
