Category name[edit]

I am not happy with the category name. Should it be Environmental thinkers? Alan Liefting 20:58, 12 May 2007 (UTC)

I also dislike the name. The term "thinkers" seems inappropriate as an encyclopedia category. This is also arguably a redundant category, as Category:Non-fiction environmental writers already exists, and green politics falls under the environmentalism umbrella. "Green political activists" might also be a better title.--JayJasper (talk) 13:31, 1 March 2008 (UTC)
  • Sign me up as a third editor who doesn't like this category name. It has two problems: "Green" may mean "Green Party", a political organization, or "green", a shorthand for environmentalism. Second, "thinker" is very vague. I doubt that anyone on this list has ever been called a "Green thinker". Like all good categories, this one needs a criteria for inclusions, whether implicit or explicit. It's not clear why some folks would be included or excluded. Jay's suggestion would refocus the category to something specific. ·:· Will Beback ·:· 17:44, 3 August 2008 (UTC)
