Why this category[edit]

Although each of the indigenous languages of Alaska are covered by other categories, such as Category:Indigenous languages of the North American Arctic and Category:Indigenous languages of the North American Subarctic, as well as through their various language families, this category seemed of encyclopedic value because it answers a common question people have about Alaska: What are the languages of the Native peoples of Alaska? Hopefully I can also put together an article to go with this category. --Yksin 20:39, 14 March 2007 (UTC)
