Sub Cat of Philadelphia and not Philadelphia County
This should be a sub-category of Philadelphia, and not Philadelphia County. I am only talking about the Philadelphia County category, not the single county article.
Wikipedia lists Philadelphia as a consolidated city-county,
It seems to me that Wikipedia’s standard practice to have only a single category for conterminous zones.
I am not saying that the articles need to be merged. The Philadelphia County article should remain separate as there was a separate history until 1854. In this case, I think the articles are different than San Francisco County, California which redirects to San Francisco, California; Nantucket County, Massachusetts which redirects to Nantucket, Massachusetts; Kings County, New York which redirects to Brooklyn.
Well...there's no sign that this is letting up anytime soon. I think we were close at one point, but not anymore. Would a lengthy page protection help? Probably not, as I tried this a few weeks ago. The other two alternatives I can think of is issuing blocks, or for me to step away, and just causually watch the reversions go by. I'm fairly certain that there will be no violations of 3RR by the letter, but considering that this has been sustained for at least a month now (or more for that matter), I've put out a 48 hour block for User:Boothy443 and User:Evrik. The edit warring has got to stop - it is cluttering up the page history, and has become a focal point for routine reversions. Now, if anyone has any idea how to resolve the disputed content, could we begin talking about it on one of these talk pages? Thanks. --HappyCamper 13:07, 27 February 2006 (UTC)
