- This note doesn't need to be on the main category page. Here is fine. This is a temporary situation due to the relatively new status of Category:Types of soil. Types of soil that are a type according to Pedology should retain the Pedology categorization even after the "Types of soil" category is added. --Paleorthid (talk) 04:11, 28 January 2008 (UTC)
- Well, I am no soil expert, and I will trust the category arrangement to those who are. But I hope that when the things have settled eventually, the category scheme will make it easy for a non-expert to find every "type of soil" article, regardless of which category it is in.
