Catholicism task list:

Here are some tasks awaiting attention:
Forgive me if this is the wrong site to note this, but I find myself once more in an editing dispute on here regarding a matter of Catholic practice. It should be simple enough, but no editor with a professed knowledge of it seems to take part in the discussion, so I am turning to here.
The matter seems like it should be simple enough, namely how the postnominal initials of religious institutes are to be treated in the text. My contention is that they indicate heritage, in a manner similar to Jr or Sr, thus they should be in bold at the initial use of of an individual's name. The few editors who have taken part in the discussion so far, and who openly state that they have no intimate knowledge of religious matters, see them as honorifics, in the same way as OBE or K.M., and therefore should not be in bold. The issue of their use for religious in the past has also been labeled anachronistic.
The matter seems significant inasmuch as these initials are part of identifying one's heritage as a religious, even if not commonly used, especially by Religious Sisters, until recently. So I would appreciate having more input into this discussion, which can be found at the talk page of the MOS. Daniel the Monk (talk) 17:19, 13 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
