Cecil Law, 6th Baron Ellenborough

Cecil Henry Law, 6th Baron Ellenborough CB (25 November 1849 - 22 January 1931) was a member of the House of Lords.

Baron Ellenborough

Law succeeded to the peerage on the death of his brother, Edward Downes Law, 5th Baron Ellenborough in 1915.

He was introduced to the House of Lords on 15th February 1916, immediately after that year's King's Speech.[1]

Military career

He was commissioned as an officer into the 54th Regiment of Foot and served in Second Anglo-Afghan War 1878-1880 and the Second Boer War 1900-1902. Law retired as a Brevet Colonel in 1906.[2]

Family

Cecil Henry Law married Alice Caroline Astell in 1884. On his death in 1931, he was succeeded by his son: Henry Astell Law, 7th Baron Ellenborough.
