Chakkappazham is an Indian Malayalam-language sitcom directed by R. Unnikrishnan, telecasted by Flowers TV since 10 August 2020. The sitcom depicts the events taking place in the family of Uthaman and his wife Asha portrayed by S. P. Sreekumar and Aswathy Sreekanth respectively.[1][2] The other main cast includes Shruthi Rajanikanth, Raffi, Amal Rajdev and Sabita George.[3]

Plot summary

The story revolves around interesting events in the family of Uthaman. Uthaman works as a compounder in a veterinary hospital. Asha, his wife, is a housewife. His father Kunjunni is enjoying a retired life alongside Uthaman's mother Lalitha. Kunjunni was doing the flag waving job in air force (known only to Lalitha) but his family believes that he was a pilot and he is always afraid that his lie will get caught someday. Lalitha was an air hostess and quit the job after marrying Kunjunni. Uthaman's sister Painkili (Pinky) married her maternal cousin, Shivan (Lalitha's nephew). Shivan is a constable in the Kerala Police. Sumesh, the youngest son in the family, is mostly unemployed. The family has four children. Uthaman has three children. The eldest is Pallavi, a student. His only son Shambhu and younger daughter Aami too attends the school. Pinky's son Kannan is the youngest child in the family while the eldest member of the house is Uthaman's grandmother (Kunjunni's mother).

There is confusion, humor, healthy arguments, and much love. The main attraction of the story is the interesting fights and situational comedy between the family members.
