Chala Hawa Yeu Dya is an Indian television comedy show originally aired on Zee Marathi.[1] It is hosted by Nilesh Sable and the recurring performers include Bhalchandra Kadam, Kushal Badrike, Sagar Karande, Shreya Bugade, Vinit Bonde and Bharat Ganeshpure. Most episodes feature celebrity guests from Marathi film and theatre industry who appear to promote their latest films and plays.[1]
The show debuted on 18 August 2014 and the 100th episode of the show aired on 28 July 2015.[2] The show saw its last and episode number 135 in December 2015 and later the cast featured in the next season Chala Hawa Yeu Dya Maharashtra Daura.
Cast
- Nilesh Sable as Nilesh Sable himself- He is the owner of the cafe where the show happens.They say laughter is the best medicine and one such doctor who has made this is a habit is Dr. Nilesh Sable. A find of the reality show 'Maharashtracha Superstar', Nilesh has been synonymous with Fu Bai Fu. Not just a popular actor, Nilesh is himself a great stand up and writer known for his brilliant comic timing.[3]
- Bhalchandra Kadam as Pappa- Nilesh's father. He has a weak memory. Mostly confuses with people's name. The fun begins when he tries to find his late wife in every other woman he meets.He portrays many different characters in the farcical skits performed on the show.[4]
- Kushal Badrike - Nilesh's twin brother. He is a big movie buff and obsessed with pursuing acting as a career. He uses his mimicry prowess to impress the celebrities.As son of bhalachandra kadam and represents various characters in the different performances on the show.
- Shreya Bugade - Sarpanch's daughter - a typical village girl. She is a close friend of Kushal's and always barges in between with the hope of finding her Prince Charming.Also different characters including a high-school teacher and Bharat Ganeshpure's wife.[5]
- Bharat Ganeshpure - Being 'Sarpanch' of the village he has allocated space to Nilesh to conduct the show. The hidden intention of his generosity is to find the groom for his only daughter Shreya Bugade and being The chief of the imaginary Thukratwaadi village where the show happens, the judge in the celebrity trial and husband of Shreya Bugade in different acts.[6]
- Sagar Karande - An overdramatic lavani queen and the public prosecutor in the celebrity trials. Postman Kaka, Puneri Kaku is also very famous.
- Vinit Bonde - plays various characters, sometimes as son of sarpanch, constable in khatla.[7]
