Charles Eugene Lancelot Brown (17 June 1863 – 2 May 1924) founded BBC Brown Boveri (later ASEA Brown Boveri) with Walter Boveri. He was born in Winterthur and was one of 6 children. His mother was Swiss and his father, the British engineer Charles Brown (1827–1905), was the founder of SLM – Schweizerische Lokomotiv- und Maschinenfabrik (Swiss Locomotive and Machine Works).[1]

Career

He attended the Engineering School of Winterthur. He worked at his father's factory and then became the director.
