Chris P. Santos (born May 21, 1978) is a Portuguese-American actor, and former personal trainer.[1][2] He is particularly known for his roles in movies The Girlfriend Experience,[3] Perfect and Someday.[4][5][6][7]

Early life[edit]

Santos was born in Long Island, New York. Has also lived in Manhattan for about a decade. He is Portuguese and Brazilian on his father's side and Irish on his mother's side. Santos is the middle of four siblings.[8] Santos’ mother desired for Santos and his siblings to become actors. At age 12, Santos was a child actor in Rob Weiss's first film, Amongst Friends shot in his hometown on Long Island.[9] At the age of 19, Santos became rebellious against his parents, quitting acting and decided to pursue a career as a personal trainer.


He then moved to Los Angeles and began to act again. And shortly after that, he landed a lead acting role, in The Girlfriend Experience Directed by Steven Soderbergh. Santos was introduced to the film by its acclaimed writer David Levien (Oceans's Thirteen, "Billions") who was once was a client of Santos while he was a Trainer in New York. He didn't want to take the opportunity for granted, so he began to take acting classes with the most notable coaches in Los Angeles to strengthen his craft. Santos has worked in many movies, dramas and television series like Dysconnected, Del Playa, The Hotel Barclay, Betty White's Off Their Rockers and Hellblazerbiz. After The Girlfriend Experience,16 other projects that followed include Perfect, Puberty[10][11] and a short film Someday.[12][8][13] Santos has worked with many great people including Betty White.[14]

There are many other activities that Santos trained to do before acting, which include being a triathlete and marathon runner and training in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu.[15]

Personal life[edit]

Santos enjoys cooking and tries his best to steer clear of Animal products. Santos loves reading and writing too. When he is not acting, he enjoys Thai boxing, and Brazilian jiu-jitsu.[16] Santos currently resides in Los Angeles.[17]
