Christina Filiaggi (born November 27, 1968) was an on-air contributor and traffic reporter for The Steve Dahl Show on WLS (AM) 890 in Chicago, Illinois. During her previous work as a reporter for Shadow Traffic, she also used the pseudonyms Angela Adams and Alex Jordan.[1]

Personal life and education[edit]

Filiaggi grew up in Glen Ellyn, Illinois where, in 1986, she graduated from Glenbard West High School. In 1990, she graduated from Illinois Wesleyan University where she majored in English and received her Bachelor of Arts degree and graduated with honors.[2]

Filiaggi married Scott White in St. Lucia in June 2013. She had previously announced her engagement via the Roe Conn Show, though she never mentioned White's name on air.

Filiaggi began her professional broadcasting career in 1993, working at The Steve Dahl & Garry Meier Show as an office manager. She was offered this job after attending a remote broadcast of the show at Hooters.[3] She later became a producer for Steve Dahl.[2][4]

She was laid off from WLS on February 29, 2008 due to corporate restructuring. On June 16, 2008, following a subsequent management change at the station and amid continued expressions of support from the show's fans, Filiaggi was reinstated. However, her reinstatement was short lived.[5] On May 8, 2009 it was announced on the Roe Conn Show that she had once more been laid off by station management. She was replaced by former NBC 5 reporter and fill-in traffic reporter at WLS-AM, Amy Jacobsen.[6][7] Starting June 7, 2009, Filiaggi was the sidekick on a week-to-week basis on the "Living Large with Geoff Pinkus" show, Sundays from 5-7 PM on WIND (AM) 560.[5]

On March 26, 2010, Roe Conn announced that Filiaggi was returning to The Roe Conn Show once again, while she would continue to work part-time as a bartender at O'Brien's Restaurant in Chicago.[8] She was also hired to do traffic reports on WLS-FM.[5]

With the replacement of Roe Conn by Steve Dahl on November 3, 2014, Filiaggi remained with WLS and continues to perform a similar role for Dahl's afternoon show.[9]
