Ciro y los Persas is a rock band from Argentina led by singer and songwriter Andrés Ciro Martínez, former leader of Los Piojos, since 2009. The band had its first performances in December 2009 in Rosario and Cordoba. The most important performances were in 2010 and made a CD, Orfeo Superdomo in Cordoba, in the theater Angel Bustelo, Mendoza, in San Juan, and Luna Park Stadium of Buenos Aires. 2010 was a successful year for Ciro and the band, a new album went double platinum, a tour of the interior of the country, and Luna Park, but the best news for the musician was that it Paul McCartney requested that it be an opening act for the concerts that would give the former Beatle in the River Plate Stadium in November.
