Coordinates: 46°48′0″N 22°24′0″E / 46.80000°N 22.40000°E / 46.80000; 22.40000 Roşia (Hungarian: Biharrósa) is a large commune in Romania, Bihor County, around 21 kilometers north from the town of Beiuş. It is composed of two villages, Lazuri (Lázurihegy) and Roşia.

General information[edit]

Roşia has a large surface area and it lies at the edge of the Apuseni Mountains.

The commune has beautiful landscapes, mountain rivers, caves and large forests.

Population[edit]

According to the 2002 census all of the 2636 inhabitants of the commune are Romanian. 87.6% are Romanian Orthodox and 12.3% Pentecostal.
