D'Monroe is an American actor who has appeared in a number of television productions. On Broadway, he has performed in the 2000 revival of Jesus Christ Superstar as an apostle, and in Rent as Benny. He won a Travolta Family Entertainment Golden Icon Award for Best Male Musical Theater Performance for his role in Rent.[1] Off-Broadway credits include A Good Swift Kick. His television roles include appearances on Law & Order: Criminal Intent, All My Children, and Homicide: Life on the Streets.

He is from Baltimore, Maryland, and attended Oakland Mills High School in Columbia, Maryland, followed by Hampton University.

He has an album available on Roe Records called Don't Scream.
