Deaf American Recordings was started by Rich Hoak (Brutal Truth) in late 1993. The label is centered in Dillsburg, Pennsylvania, United States. It is a reference to Rick Rubin's side label from Def Jam, Def American Recordings.



The catalog numbers ending with "KINDBUD" are both picture disc 7" vinyl records, each featuring a photo of marijuana, co-released with Rhetoric Records.
