Dennis Galer Goodwin
Dennis Galer Goodwin is an English man recognized by Guinness World Records as going on the world's longest hunger strike, lasting 385 days and ending in 1973. Goodwin consumed only water during his hunger strike, although he was fed orally through a tube by authorities. His hunger strike was in protest of his incarceration in Wakefield Prison in West Yorkshire, England, after being accused of rape.
