Desna (Template:Lang-uk) is an urban-type settlement in the Chernihiv Oblast in northern Ukraine.[2] The town's population was 7,180 as of the 2001 Ukrainian Census[2] and 7,562 in 2011.[3] It is named after the Desna River which flows through the town.
The town houses a major military training center (169th Training Centre) of the Ukrainian Ground Forces.
