Alasdair Braxton Bell (born August 11, 1997)[1] better known as Alasdair Braxton is a British photographer and Digital-filmmaker.[2]
Early Life[edit]
Alasdair was born in Newcastle-under-Lyme (Staffordshire) on the 11th of August 1997. He was raised in Scotland from a young age and attended Largs Academy. Bell later completed an honors degree at SAE Institute in Digital Film-Making,[3] where he began to upload videos on Youtube most notably surrounding travel, lyrical dance and music videos.[4]
Career[edit]
In late 2017, Bell directed his first music video 'Meant To Be' for Swedish artist Arc North aka Oscar Christiansson ft Krista Marina. Starring Storm Management model Mia Brown and Ewan Lumsden. Whilst finishing at university. On 28 September 2018. His work was featured in the John Byrne (playwright) awards in 2019 for exploring personal and social value for creatives in Scotland.[5]
Bell joined the cast of Falling for Figaro in the feature film directed by Ben Lewin.[6][7] The film was screened at the Toronto International Film Festival in September 2020 to buyers. IFC Films will release Falling for Figaro in 2021.
Most recently Alasdair directed the short film 'The Flatwarming' which is set for release in 2024. Written by Stephanie English. Starring actors Ayse Watson, Alice Glass, and Rebecca Tierney.[8]
