Ali Zahid Khan is a Pakistani politician affiliated with Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N). He is the son of Zahid Hamid, former Minister of Law and Justice and Member of the National Assembly of Pakistan. Ali Zahid Khan contested in the general election in July 2018 for the National Assembly seat NA-74 (previously NA-114) of Pasrur, Sialkot Tehsil III.[1]

Family and Education[edit]

Khan was born on 27th November, 1972 to Zahid and Shehrnaz Hamid. His father was a Member of the National Assembly from 2002 to 2018 and served three times as Minister of Law and Justice.[2] After completing his schooling from Aitchison College, Lahore, Khan pursued his higher education at Government College, Lahore. He then went to the United Kingdom and graduated with an MBA from the University of Cardiff, Wales. A banker by profession, Khan worked in Singapore and Hong Kong at Deutche Bank, Union Bank of Switzerland, and Bank of China.

Political Career[edit]

Khan's official entry into national politics began in 2018 when he contested for a seat in the National Assembly of Pakistan in place of his father, representing NA-74 of Pasrur, Sialkot III, previously known as NA-114.[3] He had previously served as Overseas PML-N Youth Wing President[4] through which he held numerous conferences overseas including the Gulf.
