Mark Hansen (born 1990) is an American activist, entrepreneur, and open-source software programmer, Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Upsolve[1] and CTOs for Good member.[2]

Early life[edit]

Mark was born in 1990 in Morristown, New Jersey. They graduated from public high school in Whippany, New Jersey in 2008 in 2008.

After graduating high school, Mark began working to start a socially and politically focused music label inspired by Adbusters and Ed Banger, but while living in London with Plane Stupid[3] and human rights activists, they returned back to New Jersey to attend Rutgers University and change focus. They graduated in 2013 having studied Anthropology, American Studies, Computer Science, Middle Eastern Studies, and Visual Art.[4]


Mark has been Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer/Chief Product Officer of Upsolve.
