Pushpendra Kulshrestha (born on 2nd December 1965) is a well-known Indian Journalist & Political Commentator. Currently, he is the owner of public 24x7, a YouTube channel and also the Chairman and Managing Director of Saraswati Broadcasting Pvt Ltd. He is on Islamic Terrorism, Kashmir, Muslim Communalism.

He is married to Rachana Govil. He has a son named Prakharvel Kulshrestha and daughter-in-law named Riddhima Banga.

Early life[edit]

Pushpendra was born in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh to Baldev Prasad Kulshrestha and Iklash Kumari. He completed his schooling from Minto Circle High School (officially Syedna Tahir Saifuddin School) at Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, India. He completed his graduation in Political Science from Aligarh Muslim University in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, India[1] and PG Diploma in Journalism.


His last 12 year assignment with first Pakistan private News Channel as India Correspondent of Aaj TV News, headquartered in Karachi.[2] In past years, he had worked with Sunday Mail weekly newspaper, Sahara TV news, Zee News, BBC World Service, serving various positions. He had served four times as an Elected Secretary General, Press Club of India (CEO) from August 2006 - October 2010.[3][4]He is a scholarly speaker on questionable issues like Kashmir Conflict, Rehabilitation of Kashmiri Hindus in Kashmir Valley, Islamic Extremism and Islamic Terrorism

He is owner of YouTube channel named Public 24x7.[5] He is working for betterment of Indians and especially Kashmiri Hindus.[6][7]


Pushpendra with his two different companions framed a nongovernmental association named as “We the Citizens”. He with Sandeep Kulkarni, president of NGO We the Citizens documented a Public Interest Litigation in Supreme Court of India scrutinizing the authenticity of Article 35A and Article 370 of the Indian Constitution and subduing of both the articles.

While holding the post of General Secretary along with Parvez Ahmed as President, R.Verma as Vice President and  Jayant Bhattacharya as Treasurer of Press Club of India, All the office bearer of PCI also had to fall prey to office politics. Due to which an FIR was lodged in 2010 against all, but when no evidence was found during the police investigation and when the investigation report was submitted to the Patiala Court, in May 2013 in which EOW given clean chit to all. After  more than five year  of argument between the police and PCI in the court .The Press Club of India unable to prove  any charges in FIR. The Honorable court on 27th July 2019 accept the final report of the investigative agencies.And close the FIR. The order copy  of The Honorable is here for all.

Patiala House court has closed the case against Pushpendra Kulshreshtha, Parvez Ahmed, Jayato Bhattacharya as the Press Club of India management (Complainant) remained absent from the court despite several notices.

The police report is accepted.

Police submitted  final report in may 2013. PCI management fails to give any evidence on the charges which PCI filed in their  FIR. PCI attended 21 dates but fail to subcentioate any of the charges. After repeated notices to PCI advocate filed an affidavit saying we have no documents any more. Court has decided to accept the final report after as PCI didn't turn up for the last three hearing.                         File be consigned to Record Room.
