Comment: @Plettj: I looked over the sources for significant coverage and reliability. Four links had a non-passing mention of the subject. The speedcubing.org cites had borderline significant coverage but the source appears to be one person's self-published blog and online store, which should not be used in a biography of a living person. The other two only focus on the world record and do not cover the subject much. I believe this one will be declined if good sources are not found and added. ~UN6892 tc 15:10, 12 July 2025 (UTC)

Xuanyi Geng (Chinese: 耿暄一; pinyin: Gěng Xuānyī; born 21 March 2017) is a Chinese competitive Rubik's Cube speedsolver.[1] He is the former world record holder for both the 3×3×3 cube average (3.71 seconds)[2][3] and the single solve record at 3.05 seconds.[4][5][6] At age eight, he became the youngest person ever to hold a 3×3×3 world record.[7][8]
Early life
[edit]Geng was born in Suzhou, Jiangsu, China, and is currently a student at Suzhou Industrial Park Xingwan School. He began practicing the Rubik's Cube at the age of five, under the influence of his father. His solving approach is notable for his usage of all 493 ZBLL algorithms.[9]
Career
[edit]Geng attended his first WCA competition on September 9, 2023, the Singapore Mini, where he finished third with a 3×3×3 average of 6.86 seconds.[1]
At the 2025 WCA World Championship in Seattle on July 6, 2025, Geng won a silver medal with a 4.49-second average.[10][11]
As of February 6, 2026, Geng has competed in 60 World Cube Association competitions, achieving 57 podium finishes.[1]
World records
[edit]On April 13, 2025, Geng set his first 3×3×3 world record at a competition in Shenyang, China, recording a single solve of 3.05 seconds which stood for 300 days.[12]
On January 11, 2026, at the Beijing Winter 2026 competition, he set his first 3×3×3 average world record with a time of 3.84 seconds.[3]. On April 26, 2026, he surpassed this record with a 3.71s 3×3×3 average at the Deqing Small & Special 2026 competition.[2]
