Edens Chery (born October 19, 1986 in Port-au-Prince) is a Haitian soccer player who currently plays for Western Mass Pioneers in the USL Second Division.

College and Amateur[edit]

Chery moved from his native Haiti to Brockton, Massachusetts in 1996 with his mother, who had family in the area.[1] He attended Brockton High School, played club soccer for the Brockton Youth Soccer Association, and played college soccer at the University of Massachusetts Lowell. In 2007, he had a career-best seven goals and five assists,[2] and ended his career with 12 goals and 21 assists, ranking him 9th among UNL career leaders. He was named a NSCAA Division II All-American team and to the NSCAA Division II All-New England team as a senior.

During his college years Chery also played five seasons for the Cape Cod Crusaders in the USL Premier Development League, helping them to four consecutive divisional titles between 2005 and 2008.

Chery turned professional in 2009, and began his career with the Western Mass Pioneers. He made his professional debut on June 20, 2009 in 1 0-0 tie with the Pittsburgh Riverhounds.[3]

Chery's father, Patrick Pierre, played defense on the Haitian national team in the 1970s.
