Elizabeth Agyemang (born 13 May 1949) is a Ghanaian politician and a Member of Parliament of the Parliament of Ghana.[1] She is a member of the New Patriotic Party and the Deputy Minister of the Ashanti Region of Ghana.[2]
Early life
Agyemang was born in Kotei in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. She holds a teacher’s certificate ‘A’ and has worked as a registered nurse in the United States of America, Virginia to be precise.[3]
Career
From January 2005 to January 2017, Elizabeth represented the Oforikrom constituency in the Ashanti region of Ghana.[4]
In March 2017, President Nana Akufo-Addo, named her one of the ten deputy regional ministers who would form part of his government.[5] She was vetted by the Appointments Committee of the Parliament of Ghana in the same month. He was approved by the committee and his name was forwarded to Speaker of Parliament for further approval by the general house of parliament.
Personal life
She is married with three children. She identifies as a Christian.[6]
