Environmental Development is a quarterly peer-reviewed academic journal covering environmental science and policy published by Elsevier. The editor-in-chief is Eleanor Milne (Colorado State University), who succeeded the founding editor, Theo Beckers (Tilburg University).[1]

The journal is associated with the Scientific Committee on Problems of the Environment (SCOPE)[1] and is abstracted and indexed in the Emerging Sources Citation Index[2] and Scopus.[3]
