Estadi Johan Cruyff, (meaning in English "Johan Cruyff Stadium") is an under-construction football stadium located in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. It is named after Dutch footballing legend, Johan Cruyff.

It will be a UEFA Category 3 stadium and will house 6,000 supporters.[1] As part of the Espai Barça project, it is meant to be the replacement for the Mini Estadi, which will be demolished after the construction of the stadium.

History[edit]

Estadi Johan Cruyff broke ground on 14 September 2017 and is scheduled to be completed in 2019. It will be opened on 27 August 2019 with a friendly match between under-19 teams of Barcelona and Ajax.[2]
