Farm to Market Road 1177 (FM 1177) is a 7.573-mile (12.188 km) farm to market road connecting the farming areas of northern Wichita and Clay counties, Texas. The route lies just south of the Red River and the Oklahoma state line.[1]

Route description

FM 1177 is a two-lane route for its entire length. The western terminus is in Wichita County south of Burkburnett, near Cashion, at an intersection with SH 240. The route travels east and enters Clay County, where it ends at FM 171 near Thornberry.[1][2]

History

FM 1177 was designated in 1949.[1] Its routing has not changed. While the designation file specifies US 77, it is likely a typographical error intended to say US 277, as SH 240 was designated over the old alignment of US 277 in Wichita County in 1964.[3]
