English: A Douglas A-4C Skyhawk (BuNo 147710) from Anti-Submarine Fighter Squadron 1 (VSF-1) Det.10 "War Eagles" taxiing to the catapult of the U.S. Navy aircraft carrier USS Yorktown (CVS-10) in 1969. The VSF-1 Det. 10 was assigned to Carrier Anti-Submarine Air Group 56 (CVSG-56) for a deployment to the North Atlantic from 2 September to 21 December 1969. These were the last deployments of VSF-1 and CVS-10, both being decomissioned shortly therafter. |
