Summary

Description
English: This picture shows a typical grooved aluminum/ammonia Variable Conductance Heat Pipe (VCHP). The heat pipe is an aluminum extrusion, with the flange removed in the adiabatic section. The Non-Condensable Gas reservoir is located above the main heat pipe. The valve is removed after filling and sealing the heat pipe.
