Description

Publicity photo of the Beatles with producer George Martin in the studio at Abbey Road. Only John Lennon, George Harrison and Paul McCartney are pictured.
Date There is no date stamp but someone has labeled the photo as circa 1966. It's clear that the photo has been around a while by the damage and staining to the original. Capitol changed its logo to a "block style" in 1969 and used that to identify the company from 1969 to 1978. In 1968, The Beatles formed their own record label, Apple, which was distributed by Capitol from 1968 - 1975. Beatle items carried the Apple logo. However, the photo is likely taken from 1965 when Harrison still used his Gretsch. By 1966, Harrison was using a 1965 Epiphone or Gibson SG.
