Summary

Description
English: A few decades ago, in order for a book to reach the public, it had to pass successfully through various filters or screens, such as agents and publishers and bookstores. Today, however, self-publishing allows authors to bypass these filters and pitch their books directly to book buyers via online routes such as Amazon.
