Description
English: This is a superb example of a rare heteromorph ammonite fossil from the south of France. The species is Crioceratites nolani and the spines have been partially restored to show ho it might have appeared in life. This image was featured in the book HETEROMORPH: The rarest fossil ammonites by Wolfgang Grulke published in 2014.
