Deutsch: Bietigheim war seit dem 13. Jahrhundert im Besitz der Markgrafen von Baden. Die Siegel der Gemeinde zeigten vom 17. Jahrhundert an (ältester bekannter Abdruck 1610) ein Mühleisenkreuz und darüber oder darunter den landesherrlichen Wappenschild. Das Kreuz ist vermutlich das Dorfzeichen und könnte sich auf den Titel der Pfarrkirche (Kreuzerhebung) beziehen. Nachdem im 19. Jahrhundert ein fünfstrahliger Stern (wohl ein bloßes Ornament) als Siegelbild verwendet worden war, schlug das Generallandesarchiv im Jahre 1900 ein Wappen vor, das das Kreuz und den Wappenschild aus den älteren Siegeln in neuer Zuordnung vereint und in den badischen Farben tingiert ist. Der Gemeinderat nahm dieses Wappen im Jahre 1904 an. Das Verleihungsverfahren für die Flagge war bei Redaktionsschluss noch nicht abgeschlossen. |
