WEGNER 16.10.1886-17.5.1978 Als Augenzeuge berichtet er über den Völkermord an den Armeniern im 1. Weltkrieg In einem Brief an Hitler protestierte er schon im April 1933 gegen die Verfolgung der Juden. Als Pazifist denunziert, verschleppten ihn die Nationalsozialisten in die Konzentrationslager Oranienburg, Börgermoor und Lichtenburg. Seine Bücher wurden verbrannt, sein Werk verschwiegen. In Armenien wie in Israel zählt er zu den GERECHTEN DER VÖLKER. |
