The main area of distribution of the most important Iranian languages

Made by myself

This map became predominantly the language maps of the following links uses: http://www.lib.utexas.edu/maps/middle_east_and_asia/afghanistan_ethnoling_97.jpg and http://titus.fkidg1.uni-frankfurt.de/didact/karteng/iran/irann.htm

Remark

This map doesn't lay the claim of the 100 per cent precision. The population conditions don't become takes into account in this map either! Altogether, this map shows putting finite the area of distribution of the Iranian languages. Only the most important Iranian languages are mainly shown in this map. The numerous smaller dialects of the Iranian languages which are spoken in today's Iran aren't listed in this map. These Iranian dialects are understood as component of the Persian language (Farsi) predominantly today.

Furthermore it has to be here taken into account that the languages Farsi, Dari and Tajik are essentially only local variants of a uniform language form. This language form still was described by the majority as "Persian language" by the beginning of the 20th century.

Also one must consider here that many of these languages are regarded as dialects of another language by other speakers of Iranian languages many times. How for example the Zaza, that is classed the Kurd many times as belonging to other in the eyes. The map for kurdish language is wrong, the southern kurdish on the map is described as sorani and the real Sorani speaking areas are marked as Kurmanji. For example, over half of the kurdish speaking areas in Iraq should be an another color. The Zaza see others as members of a people-group of the Caspian sea.[1]

Until 1901 were classed the Kurdish language also as belonging to the Luri as "South-Kurdish." Today, one knows that is this incorrectly and that the Luri is an autonomous language.

I think the "Dari" designation is too broad. It should be broken down into Farsi, Dari, Tajiki at the very least
