Description
English: JOHNNY BUILT THIS TWO STORY CABIN IN 1876.  IT WAS NO ORDINARY CABIN; THE HAND-HEWED LOGS HAD BEEN HAULED FROM THE HILLS BETWEEN CROOK CITY AND DEADWOOD.  THE CABIN WAS ORIGINALLY LOCATED ON THE LOWER REDWATER RIVER JUST NORTH OF HIGHWAY 32 NEAR BELLE FOURCHE. JOHNNY BUILT THIS TWO STORY CABIN IN 1876.

THIS CABIN IS NOT ON THE NATIONAL REGISTRY PROBABLY BECAUSE IT WAS MOVED FROM NEAR BELLE FOURCHE TO THE GROUNDS OF THE HISTORICAL MUSEUM IN BELLE FOURCHE. THERE IS ONLY ONE PICTURE ABOUT BELLE FOURCHE ON WIKIPEDIA AND THAT IS A SIGN ABOUT THE TOWN BEING THE GEOLOGICAL CENTER OF THE U.S.
