Summary

Description

Close transcription of the melody of Kreuzlied (Palästinalied) given in the Münster fragment (Münster, Landesarchiv Nordrhein-Westfalen / Staatsarchiv, Msc. VII, 51, dated to c. 1330). Online scan: thulb.uni-jena.de. See also: mr1314.de. Raphael Molitor, "Die Lieder des Münsterischen Fragmentes", Sammelbände der Internationalen Musikgesellschaft 12.3 (April/June 1911), 475–500. Franz Jostes, "Bruchstück einer Münsterschen Minnesängerhandschrift mit Noten", ZfdA 53 (1912), 348–357.

Note that F is located on the central line; in modern notation, this would correspond to the "baritone F-clef" 40px|

Compare the transcription from Jostes (1912).

The 1912 transcription uses the text of the first stanza as recorded in w:Kleine Heidelberger Liederhandschrift some 60 years earlier; this file transcribes the text of the first stanza as given in the Münster fragment itself.
