Summary

Description
English: Spectral ratio image of 30 meter resolution data from Landsat used to rapidly map the composition of the surface of Eastern Afghanistan and NW Pakistan. The colors were interpreted in terms of rock type based on field mapping in eastern Afghanistan and NW Pakistan. Three other NASA satellites were used to corroborate and extend this image. Possible terrorist camp locations were subsequently superimposed upon this image to narrow the number of possible targets based on geological clues in videotapes distributed by admitted terrorists.
