Summary

Description
English: Lewes Road Bus Depot Originally built as Brighton Corporation tram depot building in 1901. Trams operated out of here until 1st September 1939 when they replaced by trolley buses which ran until 30 June 1961. After that building became part of Lewes Road bus depot which it remains as today. The original garages are still to the rear with some of the old rails still embedded in the concrete. Until recently the windows were still etched with the name Brighton Corporation Tramways but these have been removed to a local museum and replaced.
