Summary

Description
English: A paper chromatography result sheet showing that one wine that was spotted in the test has not completed malolactic fermentation. This is indicated by the presence of a yellow spot in the middle of the row which shows that malic acid is still present in the wine. If the wine had completed MLF, there would only be yellow spots on the bottom of the page (indicating tartaric acid) and at the top (indicating lactic acid which is what the malic acid in the wine is converted to by the MLF bacteria).
