Summary

Description President George H.W. Bush speakes with Capt. Fred P. Moosally, commanding officer of the battleship USS Iowa (BB-61), during a memorial service for the 47 crew members killed in an explosion aboard the ship. The explosion occurred in the No. 2 16-inch gun turret as the Iowa was conducting routine gunnery exercises approximately 300 miles northeast of Puerto Rico on April 19th.
