日本語: 安政元年（1854）には下田玉泉寺でロシア側と条約の最終的な詰めを行い、樺太 ( サハリン ) の帰属、原住民などの取扱などを除いて大筋で合意に達した。
安政 2年（1855）、永持亨次郎が蒸気軍艦観光丸の運用などを目的とする長崎海軍伝習所・第一期生の艦長候補となる。翌年には第一次長崎海軍伝習の終了をまたずに長崎奉行支配吟味役に転出。 安政 4年（1857）にはロシア使節プチャーチンを訪問し条約審議を行い、日露追加条約調印する。稲佐郡飽ノ島で長崎製鉄所が起工し、永持亨次郎が庶務会計を主宰した。 文久元年（1861）、対馬を占領しようとしているロシアのポサドニック艦長ビリレフと退去に関する交渉を行う。その後、御徒頭過人兼外国御用出役頭取取締を仰せ付けられる。 元治元年1864 、禁裏警守のため上洛する。 目付介を仰せ付けられる。 元治元年 10月 1日 永持亨次郎が禁裏守衛総督兼攝海防禦指揮徳川慶喜公配下の目付介として勤務中 38才で客死。 |
