English: Block diagram of an electronic oscillator circuit, with the feedback loop broken to show how to calculate the loop gain. It consists of an amplifier element with amplification A, with its output Vo fed back into its input Vi through a feedback network with transfer function β(jω). The loop gain is equal to:
