Description
English: A schematic of a pumpless light water reactor. This particular type is a NuScale Power mini nuclear reactor, see http://www.nuscalepower.com/ot-How-NuScale-Technology-Works.php . The schematic was based on the Nuscale Power image, aswell as an image at http://ngm.nationalgeographic.com/big-idea/08/mini-nukes . Note that this light water reactor is quite similar to reactors used on warships (see NGC text). Not sure though whether the pond is closed or in connection to the sea. Also not sure whether the coolant water becomes radioactive after a while or not.
