Cover: The Radio Hat, posed by Hope Lange (see page 4). The two tube radio receiver cost $7.95 and was manufactured by the American Merri-Lei Corporation of Brooklyn, N.Y. It came in 8 colors; Lipstick Red, Tangerine, Flamingo, Canary Yellow, Chartreuse, Blush Pink, Rose Pink, and Tan. (Kind of a 1949 iPod.) The radio was powered by an external battery pack.

The search of the Renewals for Periodicals for 1975, 1976 and 1977 show no renewal entries for Radio-Electronics. Gernsback Publications owned Radio-Electronics in 1949 and in 1976.

The copyrights for Radio-Electronics are held by Poptronix Inc. The copyright holder indicated that Gernsback Publications did not renew the copyrights of pre 1964 issues. A search of the copyright records confirms this.

The copyright on the magazine was not renewed and it is in the public domain.
