Description
English: Sir John & Elizabeth Pate Incised marble slab in St Mary's church, Melton Mowbray to Elizabeth Pate, wife of Sir John Pate of Sysonby. Elizabeth died in 1628 aged 37 and is buried here whereas Sir John died in 1652 aged 67 and is buried in London. Their 11 children mourn at their feet.
